Semiotics Preliminary Exercise 3

 Charles Peirce's Theory of Semiotics

Charles Peirce is an American philosopher and scientist who cited that, semiotics is the relationship between a Symbol, Icon, and Index. This relationship is often referred to as the triadic model of design because it is made up of 3 parts. Peirce's Sign Theory, or Semiotic, is an account of signification, representation, reference and meaning. Although sign theories have a long history, Peirce's accounts are distinctive and innovative for their breadth and complexity, and for capturing the importance of interpretation to signification.

Here is a brief summary of the movie which was used to accomplish this particular exercise.

Cal played by Ty Doran is sitting on a chair in a room with Saanvi played by Parveen Kaur who is examining him for medical purposes. And all the sudden the had a vision of him and his family on a plane. The plane started shaking and shaking. There were loud storms. And all the sudden the plane caught on fire. And everyone died.
