Charles Peirce's Theory of Semiotics
Charles Peirce is an American philosopher and scientist who
cited that, semiotics is the relationship between a Symbol, Icon, and Index.
This relationship is often referred to as the triadic model of design because
it is made up of 3 parts. Peirce's Sign Theory, or Semiotic,
is an account of signification, representation, reference and meaning.
Although sign theories have a long history, Peirce's accounts are distinctive
and innovative for their breadth and complexity, and for capturing the
importance of interpretation to signification.
Here is a brief summary of the movie which was used to
accomplish this particular exercise.
Cal played by Ty Doran is sitting on a chair in a room with Saanvi
played by Parveen Kaur who is examining him for medical purposes. And all the
sudden the had a vision of him and his family on a plane. The plane started
shaking and shaking. There were loud storms. And all the sudden the plane caught
on fire. And everyone died.
