Students will analyze the following media texts listed below and identify the
characteristics of audiences for using Psychographics for a Market
Segmentation Analysis.
Psychographics is the study of people’s attitudes and interests, often
studied in conjunction with typical demographic data to build more complete
profiles of target markets and audiences.
Document
the visual or audio codes (Symbolic Codes) connotating meaning of each
Psychographic Trait to support your answer.
Symbolic
codes are used by media producers to add depth and additional meaning to media products.
Examine the
setting, Mis en scene (Set Design, Costume Hair Makeup, Props, Acting ( Characters,
title, movements, facial expression,
body language, vocal qualities, body contact).
Audio codes: Dialogue, Sound effects.
