Task #2 B

 

Objective: Students will analyze the following media texts listed below and identify the characteristics of audiences for using Psychographics for a Market Segmentation Analysis.

Psychographics is the study of people’s attitudes and interests, often studied in conjunction with typical demographic data to build more complete profiles of target markets and audiences.

Document the visual or audio codes (Symbolic Codes) connotating meaning of each Psychographic Trait to support your answer.

Symbolic codes are used by media producers to add depth and additional meaning to media products.

Examine the setting, Mis en scene (Set Design, Costume Hair Makeup, Props, Acting ( Characters, title,  movements, facial expression, body language, vocal qualities, body contact).

The woman, who is one of the main characters wants to find a tree that can treat any diseases.	They believe in legends. And also, the woman believed in her instinct because she was persuade that she would find the tree.	They are all living in a jungle and go on adventure in a boat.	The main who was accompanying the woman on adventure appears to be pessimist after, but then accepts to go find the tree. The woman on the other hand totally believed in herself, and was persuade that she would find the tree.	-Young adults, and people who like comedy and are interested in adventure.

LA is an animated city, that would be later affected by the sudden collapse of the ground.	The dog barking and the water that suddenly started boiling is a type of foreshadowing to demonstrate that something bad is going to happen.

The mother believed probably in after life, since she was begging her child to let her go.	A single mother who lives in Los Angeles with her 2 kids.	In the commencement, they characters seemed to be happy, because they were chatting with enthusiasm, however, when the ground started collapsing, they were worried, scared.	Adults in their 20s and people who like horror and action movies.

It has influence on their personality because an animates city, will make people happy. It was also noted that the shook that appeared on the mother’s face when her son fall in the big hole.	The mother was chatting in the car with her 2 kids.

The man on the other hand seems to be very impulsive, careful.	The woman wants to kill eve, but Eve’s husband is trying to stop her.	The woman who is the main character believes that she is able to take and kill the man’s wife named Eve.	They seem to be living In a country like England with sophistication. They also look like people from the upper middle-class.	The woman was very defiant.	The audience of this movie would mainly be composed of people who love drama.

The way she was walking at the end, with her hands in her pockets and a sarcastic smile on her face, showed that she is capable of having anything she wants.

He believes that her daughters will be able to win the competition.	They are poor.	At one point, the girls wanted to give up, but the optimism of their dad, pushed them up.	Young atheletes.
